Peacekeepers United

My entry for the Peacekeepers contest on DA. Peacekeepers are a band of an impressive cast of original characters brought together for the new DC Universe Online video game coming out. The contest was to include twelve, or more (for the grand prize consideration) characters from the Peacekeepers in on piece of art. I chose to show the founders and the elite officers, and a couple others I could fit in, ready for battle in Metropolis early on in the invasion by Brainiac (seen in the online trailer for DC Universe, after his ships decimate Metropolis). The big ship is Brainiac's flag ship, with another smaller on there on the upper left. You might note the Daily Planet there and and a few other nuggets to let you know where you are in this world, like the newspaper. I referenced what images are available of Metropolis from the game, to get the feel of the architecture. I painted each character separately to start off at full size, then the background, then combined, polished, etc... All done in Photoshop. This is the biggest piece I've ever done, both in size and time to create.
