This is the final Kain render modeled first in 3D-Coat, finished in Zbrush, polypainted in Zbrush, finished texturing in Photoshop. A fully sculpted redo of the GlyphX model seen in the Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Full Motion Video intros of the Legacy of Kain series, by Crystal Dynamics and Eidos/Square Enix.
Low Poly model Rendered in Marmoset Toolbag 2. Normal Maps, displacement, gloss and specular maps, for items. Metalness maps for some metallic items and his skin. Cavity, occlusion used in spots, etc.
This is a neutral shot, in neutral lighting. I'm working on a couple of poses of him in a scene now, where his face will have more expression.

Edit: 11/12/14: Final model, reduced from 55,000 to 37,000 polygons (better topological flow, too); final teeth corrections, eye lid, face corrections, hair corrections, crown, cape edges frayed.
Edit 10/05/14: I'm touching up some things on Kain. I always wanted the hint of a metallic sheen at certain angles on his skin, but before the metallness maps were too metallic. I've got a better compromise going in Marmoset with a little metallic and some subsurface skin feel to it, too. It's much closer to what it should be now, I think. Kain looks better for it. Somehow, it made him look more surprised, or something before.
